Best Restaurants around Warsaw Central Station, only Locals know!

One of the great pleasures of traveling is food! In this issue, we would like to introduce some recommended restaurants located on the south side of Warsaw Central Station.

This area has many delicious restaurants frequented by Japanese residents and locals! Many of the restaurants are listed in Michelin.

I only list restaurants that I have actually visited and found to be delicious or that are recommended by Japanese residents, so you can be sure of the taste.

The south area of Warsaw Central Station is full of good restaurants

The area south of Warsaw Central Station is home to many good restaurants where the locals go to eat!

Unlike the restaurants in the Old Town, which are crowded with tourists, many of them are stylish and have a relaxed atmosphere, showing a new side of Warsaw.

Let’s get right to the recommended restaurants by genre!

Meat in Warsaw! Steak Restaurants & Hamburgers

Meat is delicious in Poland. Their steaks and burgers are to die for!

Michelin-listed restaurant “Butchery & Wine

This popular steak restaurant is listed as a Bib Gourmand by Michelin. I recommend it for its delicious meat and wine ^^.

Better to make a reservation.

Między Bułkami,” a hamburger filled with gravy

The #1 ranked hamburger place in Warsaw by Harii (laughs).

They offer a special lunch deal on weekdays, but I think the burgers are not half as good as they should be. I recommend ordering a regular order instead of lunch.

Hoża Argentine Steak House, a steak restaurant recommended by Warsaw residents.

I have not been there yet, but it is a steak restaurant recommended by a Japanese resident in Warsaw.

It is better to make a reservation as it is a popular restaurant.

Restaurant & Bar with good wine

You may think of Poles as vodka drinkers, but they also love wine.

Many restaurants have a good wine selection, so wine lovers are advised to go there ^^.

Kieliszki na Hożej Rest & Wine” with a wide variety of wines.

A stylish restaurant with a very large selection of wines. They serve dishes that go well with wine using seasonal Polish ingredients.

It is also listed in Michelin as a Bib Gourmand.

The seasoning is a bit strong to match the alcohol, so it may not be suitable for those who do not drink.

Hideout wine bar “alewino

A restaurant-bar with wine and creative cuisine recommended by Japanese living in Warsaw. This is a restaurant I would like to visit next time I am in Warsaw (lol).

It is also listed in Michelin as a Bib Gourmand.

Bar Koszyki, a casual Warsaw bar

This bar is located in the “Hala Koszyki” food court. It takes courage to enter a bar in a foreign country, but this is an open space where you can casually enter.

It may be a mistake to introduce them here, since they are mainly cocktails rather than wines, but I thought it would be a good idea to introduce them in the context of alcoholic beverages;

Special Occasion! One Michelin Star Restaurant

Only two restaurants in Warsaw have been awarded Michelin stars in Poland. One of them is located in this area.

Atelier Amaro

Classic! Polish Restaurant

The area south of Warsaw Central Station is an area where many locals gather, so there are fewer Polish restaurants.

Diner in Warsaw! Milk Bar “Bar Bambino

This is a self-service diner called a milk bar. They are similar to teishoku-ya (set meal restaurants) such as Yayoiken and Otoya in Japan, and are often used by local people. It is a place where you can enjoy traditional Polish food in a casual atmosphere.

Milk Bar is just so cheap! The taste is good there. However, don’t expect any service as the waiters are not very friendly ^^;

Smaki Warszawy, a modern Polish restaurant

It is a café-restaurant in the morning and afternoon, and a restaurant serving Polish cuisine with a modern twist in the evening.

The interior of the restaurant is stylish. If you want to experience a traditional Polish atmosphere, this may not be the place for you.

Japanese restaurants frequented by Japanese residents in Warsaw are also clustered in this area.

UDON! UKI UKI UDON

Udon and Japanese restaurants are well-known among Japanese living in Warsaw. It is very popular not only among Japanese but also Polish people, and there is often a long line of people waiting in line.

And since it’s run by Japanese, you can’t go wrong with the taste either! It is a strong ally when you get tired of foreign flavors during your trip ^^.

PEKOPEKO” serves delicious pork cutlet served on top of a bowl of rice

A Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy home-style rice dishes such as katsu-don (pork cutlet served on top of a bowl of rice) and karaage-don (fried chicken on top of a bowl of rice).

The only curry is seasoned for Polish people, so it may not be enough for Japanese people.

Nippon-Kan” for Japanese customers living in Warsaw

This Japanese restaurant is frequented by Japanese people living in Warsaw. Despite this, for some reason I have never had the chance to go there;

Some of the single workers go there every day! I hear the sushi is delicious.

MUGI” tavern in Warsaw

Izakaya-style restaurant where you can enjoy shish-kebabs and ramen noodles. This restaurant is also frequented by Japanese living in Warsaw.

Georgian and Korean Restaurants

There are many Georgian restaurants in Warsaw. Georgian cuisine is the food of Georgia, a country in northeastern Turkey.

Try the “hing kali”, a dish similar to xiaolongbao, which is very Japanese.

Chinkalnia Restauracja Gruzińska”, a delicious small basket-style hinkali

A restaurant where hinkali (Chinkali) is delicious. It is said that the authentic way to eat Chinkali is to eat it with your hands ^^.

U TATO, an at-home Georgian restaurant

A Georgian restaurant with an intimate atmosphere popular with Poles.

Chaczapuri bread with cheese was delicious ^^.

The best Korean food in Warsaw “Koreanka

According to Harie’s ranking, it is No. 1 in the category of Korean restaurants in Warsaw (laugh).

In addition to bibimbap, bulgogi, and other rice bowls, samgyeopsal (grilled meat) is also available.

Oversized! Pancake & Crepe Shop

There are many pancake and crepe stores in Warsaw. They are all quite hearty and hard to finish, but sometimes I find myself craving them;

Here’s one of the best restaurants in the area!

Kreperia

This restaurant is located in the “Hala Koszyki” food court and shopping area. It is a restaurant outside of the food court, so you can eat in a relaxed atmosphere.
