Cafe run by a long-established Polish chocolate shopE. Wedel Chocolate Lounge Staroswiecki SklepI went to the Vedel Cafe, as it’s also known!

This café is popular among tourists for its cute retro interior.
There are several stores in Warsaw and a few in other cities in Poland, but this one has the most gorgeous interior ^^.

The store also sells many chocolates that are just right for souvenirs.
It is also convenient to buy souvenirs while at the café.

Sweets from Poland’s oldest chocolate shop! Wedel Cafe (E. Wedel Chocolate Lounge) Menu

The building is magnificent. It looks European.
Main Menu and Price Range
  • Hot chocolate 15 zloty and up (450 yen and up)
  • Chocolate tasting 18 zloty~ (from about 540 yen)
  • Cakes and parfaits 18 zloty and up (from about 540 yen)

etc. …

You can see the detailed menu on the official website. It’s a little hard to see.

Vedel Cafe has an extensive menu!
The number of menu pages is sometimes a good match for family restaurants.

There are so many varieties that it takes time to decide what to order;

Chocolate drinks and sweets are the main items, but light meals are also available.

What you think of the restaurant and what you ordered

Chandeliers sparkle in the restaurant. There are seats in addition to the room in the photo, and the number of seats is large.

When we arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 p.m., half of the seats were already filled.

In Japan, café time is usually around 2 to 3 p.m., but in Poland, it is probably more crowded in the evening.

Tiramisu (18 zloty)

Melted!

To tell the truth, I am a big fan of tiramisu.Sorry for the unimportant information ^^;

Tiramisu at Vedel Cafe, exceeded my expectations! It was delicious!!!
The cream melts softly and is the best….

The cream was filled with wilted cookies.

はりぃ
Hmmm… it would taste even better if it were a sponge instead of a weird arrangement…

But then I heard that the original tiramisu is made with cookies.
I didn’t know that because all I ate was tiramisu from 7-Eleven ^^;

Hot Chocolate (from 15 zloty)

Hot chocolate, a product synonymous with Wedel.

I used to take out and drink.
I was a little hesitant to drink hot chocolate, which is not so common in Japan, but it was very easy to drink.
It’s sweet, but not too sweet, in the perfect way.

It is very rich and tastes good when you drink it on a cold day or when you are tired.

This itself is sweet, so it would be delicate to order it with dessert.
It is recommended to enjoy hot chocolate by itself.

Hot chocolate ingredients for drinking at home are also available.

While waiting in line to buy hot chocolate ingredients at another store, I was told by an unknown local lady, “Vedel is the best place for hot chocolate! Don’t buy it here! She once told me, “You can’t buy hot chocolate here!

Try Vedel’s hot chocolate, a favorite of the Polish people.

Cafe latte and praline set (18 zloty)

You can choose any praline you like.

The latte and praline (chocolate) set was just okay.

Wedel is more of a plate chocolate or cake type than a praline.

Atmosphere of the store

Even the walls are lined with Vedel products.

The luxurious interior, decorated with chandeliers, may seem intimidating to enter, but it is anything but.
It is a casual café that is not formal.

The wait staff is friendly and a bit techy.
Such a place is Polish, for better or worse ^^;

There are stores in the Old Town of Warsaw, in shopping malls, and in the Intercontinental Hotel.
